Feeling safe in a great place
The journey to becoming a community that works together is an ongoing initiative driven by various members of our community. A need for greater unity was abundantly clear and together we decided to create our own brand and destiny.
Storms River Village has one of the lowest crime rates in the whole of South Africa. We aim to reduce crime through creating greater job opportunities, thus, improving household income for our community. This, coupled with other key initiatives, shows we have flourished beyond expectation – something this village can be very proud of.
Tourism Safety & Standards
STORMS NPC now represents 99% of all businesses in the village, that is approximately 30 brands under one umbrella working together to improve the lives of everyone in our community.
Our Approved Members seal ensures that you can feel safe in a great place.
Through our Approved Members initiative we aim to ensure that we collectively meet international standards for accommodation, dining, adventure, and shopping establishments.

Crime
Together with SAPS and our community we aim to address some of the root causes of crime:
- Substance abuse, drugs, and alcohol.
- School dropouts.
- Lack of role models and mentors.
- Peer pressure.
- Unemployment.
- Lack of interest by community members.
About the NPC
STORMS NPC was established in 2021 when the residents and business owners recognized the need for all members of our community to work together.

We receive small monthly donations from the businesses in the village and rely on funding and volunteers.
